    Product Description

SUMMER WATER SEASON HAS ARRIVED. DIVE IN.

"If you love the dry Côtes de Provence-style of rosé, but want something that doesn’t have to cross the Atlantic to make it into your glass, then Summer Water from California’s Central Coast is for you! Called ‘Summer Water’ because a great rosé is just so easy to drink in the summer- perfect on its own and delicious with food. Sip it all day long like water. This was one of the most popular wines at our recent Fête de Rosé – dry, crisp and refreshing. Enjoy!" – Glen Knight, The Wine House (6/27/17)

    FROM THE PRODUCER

Tasting Notes: It’s perfectly crisp, lighthearted and destined for a good time. To ensure as little extraction from the skins as possible, we used the direct press method, retaining the delicate fruit aromas and pale color rosé is known for. The final blend is a composition of many small fermentations, each treated individually with care; the result is a lean and refreshing rosé with notes of strawberry, pink grapefruit and white peach.

Food Pairing: The 2016 vintage is seriously versatile. The first meal we had it with -directly after bottling- involved a Caesar salad, chanterelle mushroom dish and the most delicious pizza with tomato, fennel sausage, mozzarella, and basil. We’ve enjoyed it as much with inventive Sushi rolls as we have with fried rice. In general, though, our happy place is pouring a bottle as a compliment to cheese in pretty much all forms: cheese plates, souped-up grilled cheeses, a ricotta and summer squash galette, etc. We could go on

Winemaker’s Notes: Good rosé is hard to make. It is one of the most technically challenging wines to create. It requires hitting precise picking windows in the vineyard and precise techniques in the winery to end up with the proper color as well as fruit and acid balance. I feel that it’s important to go the extra mile and really put the time and energy into managing all these aspects; that is how you get a good rosé. We don’t do juice bleeds or blend white with red wine. That’s not true rosé. Instead we manage each smaller component on an individual basis and as a result we are able to create a blend from many small, well-managed lots. This attention to detail shows through in this rosé that I hope you enjoy. – Ryan Zotovich

    ABOUT 2016 SUMMER WATER

Summer Water is more than the rosé of the season, it’s a state of mind – every drop full of pink-tinted possibility. This dry rosé is the product of a mutual passion for the pink-tinted, blissful state of mind that is rosé, created by Yes Way Rosé and Winc. It’s perfectly crisp, lighthearted and destined for a good time. The grapes for this Central Coast Grenache and Syrah blend were sourced primarily from cool climate areas like Monterey and Santa Barbara County, and were picked at 21-23 brix for a high natural acidity that makes the wine ideal for summer drinking.
